Celebrate Autumn with These Fall Festivals in Niagara County

This autumn, experience all the fall festivals and events Niagara Falls and the surrounding region has to offer.

Fall festivals and events are an ideal way to pass a weekend day, with family-friendly fun like corn mazes to adult delights like craft beers. Plan your schedule with these six upcoming events throughout the season and use it as an opportunity to explore the charming and varied towns in Niagara Falls USA with all that they have to offer — including lots of local history too!

Masks are required at all attractions, events and festivals.

Locktoberfest Celebration on the Canal

With 15+ vendors, Locktoberfest celebrates the historic Erie Canal, as well as the local community and businesses that surround. The day includes an extended community farmers market and Flight of Five demonstrations — all taking place on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants nearby before or after.

Fall Fun on the Farm in Gasport

Got kids? Pick at least one weekend (or weekday) in September or October to head to Becker Farms in Gasport for fall family fun. With pony rides, hay rides, goat races, farm animal petting zoo, a bounce house and a playground, kids will find more than enough to keep themselves busy! Pick apples or try the Becker Brewery's cider and beer along with wine from Vizcarra Vineyards on the same property. Please note, tickets are mandatory on weekends only.

Guided Hikes in the Niagara Gorge

Immerse yourself in the great outdoors and participate in a free guided hike this fall. Join a park naturalist and witness the many colorful changes on a leisurely stroll in the Niagara Gorge and learn about the unique history of the region. Hikes are offered in October, November and December — but space is extremely limited, so pre-register ASAP. Browse all guided hikes here.

Corn Maze Fun in Cambria

Get lost — in a corn maze! Wear your rubber boots and navigate your way through a 12-acre corn field full of twists, turns and dead-ends at the Cambria Corn Maze. There are two mazes to explore, but we'd suggest both as one is smaller than the other (think of it as a test run!). Now that you've worked up an appetite, visit the local vendors on-site offering everything from sweet kettle corn to cookies. Ticket prices begins at $10.

Paranormal Walks in Lockport

'Tis the season of all things eerie along the historic Erie Canal in Lockport. Every Saturday in October, the Lockport Paranormal Walks take guests on a historical ghost tour — and ghost hunt — exploring the town's bizarre past. All tours begin at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or in-person the day of the tour.

Haunted Lantern Tours Along the Erie Canal

This Halloween staple is a must-do in Lockport — in fact, it's so popular, it was featured on the hit TV series, Ghost Hunters. Led by a guide, the Lockport Haunted Cave Tour is 80-minutes of OMG-moments including hair-raising stories and entrance into forbidden tunnels and caves under Lockport. Reservations are required; no one under 8 years of age permitted.
