New York Fall Beer Festival
This festival may be more for mom or dad, or maybe families with grown children, but either way, the 4th Annual New York Fall Beer Festival will certainly deliver. Held at Woodcock Bro Brewing Co. in Wilson, the festival features fall or harvest seasonal brews made specifically by craft breweries in New York state, along with live music, food trucks and lawn games. The New York Fall Beer Festival is 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday, September 20. It’s $3 per drink ticket, which gets you one five-ounce sample from one of over 20 fall libations available. Cheers!
NYPA Wildlife Festival
The 34th annual NYPA Wildlife Festival is an expected fall treat for families on their way to Lewiston. The New York Power Authority hosts the event every September, which features over 50 exhibitors and vendors including the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, New York State Parks and area scouts and conservation groups. Check out wildlife shows or test your skills at the archery area, fishing pond or shooting trailer. The free NYPA Wildlife Festival is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, at the NYPA - Niagara Power Vista.
Pumpkin Fiesta in Gasport
Got kids? Pick at least one weekend in September or October to head to the Pumpkin Fiesta at Becker Farms in Gasport. With pony rides, hay rides, goat races, farm animal petting zoo, a bounce house and a playground, kids will find more than enough to keep themselves busy! Pick apples or try the Becker Brewery's cider and beer along with wine from Vizcarra Vineyards on the same property.
Annual Harvest Festival in Lewiston
This year marks the 36th anniversary of the Annual Harvest Festival hosted by the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce and its expansion to become the Lewiston Harvest & Hops Festival. The "hops" addition to the festival puts the focus on local breweries and features special harvest brews. The festival runs September 28 and 29 in the center of the village from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day with the craft vendors being a highlight of the festival every year.
Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival & Highland Games at the Niagara County Fairgrounds
Celebrate heritage at the Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival & Highland Games at the Niagara County Fairgrounds with events ranging from kilt folding to sheaf toss to cannon firing. Check out the entertainment on the Celtic Stage through the days on September 14 and 15. The following weekend, wine lovers won't want to miss the Harvest Festival along the Niagara Wine Trail, with food and wine pairings at over 20 area wineries. Designated drivers get into the festival free of charge to ensure a fun and safe day for all.
Old Falls Street Oktoberfest in Niagara Falls
Take your pick of how to make the most of Oktoberfest the weekend of September 28 with the all-day Old Falls Street Oktoberfest in Niagara Falls and Locktoberfest in Lockport. On historic Old Falls Street, USA, you can toast with your beer stein while eating authentic German cuisine and listening to German American musicians. In Lockport, celebrate the local heritage of the farm community along the shores of the Erie Canal.
