Fall for Free Guided Hikes in Niagara USA

Niagara Falls USA and the surrounding region offers some of the best hiking trails.

With various difficulty levels, hiking can be easy, affordable and fun for the entire family. If you're seeking a guided hike, or want to learn more about the great outdoors, partake in one (or all) of the Niagara Region Interpretive Programs Office activities offered this fall.

All pre-scheduled programs are FREE and intended for individuals and families. Hike space is limited and pre-registration for these activities is required by phone, 716-282-5154.

Sat., Oct. 10 Niagara Falls State Park  A Gorgeous Bicycle Ride: Cycle up to Devil's Hole State Park and back and enjoy beautiful autumn colors. 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Sat., Oct. 10 Artpark State Park  Guided Meditation and Hike: Dress in layers for a crisp autumn foliage hike and 20-minute meditation. Bring a camp chair. 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Sun., Oct. 11 Golden Hill State Park Christmas at the Lighthouse: Wine tasting from local wineries, vendors, tours of the historic Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse, a visit from Santa and his elves, food items and more. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sat., Oct. 17 Artpark State Park Pet Friendly Fall Foliage Walk: Bring your furry friend and explore the history and beauty of the park. Dogs must be on a leash and under your control at all times while on the walk. After, you can allow your furry friend to run off-leash at the Lewiston Dog Park located nearby. 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Sun., Oct. 18 Niagara Falls State Park Fall Foliage Walk: Join a park naturalist and walk along the Niagara River and see the colorful fall foliage. 2p.m. - 4 p.m.
Sat., Oct. 24 Niagara Falls State Park Trails & Tales: Walk to the site of the old Schoellkopf Power Station and learn about Niagara Falls' rich history. Take the newly opened elevator to the top of the gorge. 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. & 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Sat., Nov. 7 Devil's Hole State Park Gorge at Low Water: See the Niagara Gorge after the volume of water in the Niagara River is reduced by 25% with a guided hike. 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Sat., Nov. 14 Devil's Hole State Park Gorge at Low Water: See the Niagara Gorge after the volume of water in the Niagara River is reduced by 25% with a guided hike. 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Sat., Nov. 14 Wilson Tuscarora State Park Walk in the Woods: Join a park naturalist for a walk through the woods along Twelve Mile Creek. 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
