Santa to S'mores and the 2nd Annual Festival of Slice
Meet Santa and make festive crafts at the World Changed Here Pavilion located on Goat Island at Niagara Falls State Park. Take the kids and head to Old Falls Street USA for a wide array of festive fun, including a Santa appearance, food, s'mores kits and complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides.
Baking fans will head for the Gingerbread Wonderland activities inside the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute for cookie decorating, chef demos and gazing at one of the largest life-sized gingerbread villages in WNY. And foodies can celebrate all things pizza inside at the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls at the 2nd Annual Festival of Slice.
Saturday, December 14
Meet Santa Claus, Siberian Huskies and Participate in Santa Con
Start your day off on the right foot with the Niagara PAL Santa Dash 5K beginning at 9 a.m. If you want even more North Pole icons on your schedule, you can catch Santa Claus himself appearing on Old Falls Street throughout the day or even better, take a photo with real live reindeer and Santa's Sleigh on Old Falls Street from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Keep the winter animals theme going by meeting Siberian Huskies on Old Falls Street before taking a complimentary horse and carriage ride.
And later in the day, it's Santa Con — the legendary bar crawl for the whole North Pole gang, which should keep you moving for the entire evening. Sponsored by the Downtown Niagara Falls Business Association, the 21-and-over crawl is $5 per person, and participants are encouraged to wear festive holiday attire for a chance at prizes.
