Bottling Quantities of Night Art Exhibition
Carnegie Art Center presents "Bottling Quantities of Night", a solo exhibition by Malcolm Bonney. Bonney’s works are fundamentally intellectual, exemplifying parallel themes of dadaism or surrealism, futurism or non-objectivism or abstract expressionism. Works with human figures are reduced through many distillations to their final, more or less abstracted state—casts shelled-off from a figure once seen and then immured in memory. Bonney’s work today seems so poignant, so acute, and yet still exploratory. An opening reception for Bonney’s show will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7 from 6-8pm. Live music will be performed by guitarist Drew Azzinaro. East Aurora Brewery will be featuring their local craft beers, hard ciders and wine. Exhibition Hours: Wed., & Thurs., 6-8pm | Fri., & Sat., 12-4pm.
