A Spirited visit to Niagara USA
Start your tour in the oldest state park in the country, Niagara Falls State Park, where you'll be met by a cast of characters from Niagara's past from Encounter Niagara Tours.
While there, don't miss the "Niagara: Legends of Adventure" IMAX-style movie, telling the history of Niagara's daredevils. Be sure to get up close and personal with the Falls at the Cave of the Winds and the world famous Maid of the Mist.
Time for lunch! Dine in the Quality Hotel & Suite's ballroom and hear from a local ghost hunter what he found in the hotel - you never know who your lunch companion may be!
After lunch, it's time for a visit with Annie Edson Taylor, the 63-year old retired schoolteacher who was the first known person to intentionally go over the Falls and survive. Listen to her story and that of other daredevils at her resting place, Oakwood Cemetery.
Start your evening with cocktails, appetizers or dinner at the Rapids Theatre while you see and hear what the Ghost Hunters discovered when they visited this restored 1921 theatre.
Build up your courage, for you are about to embark on a truly unique experience as you travel north to Old Fort Niagara, an 18th century fortress on Lake Ontario where many have lived, fought and died-some have never left!
Grab your lantern for a guided tour of the French Castle after dark. Hear the stories of the spirits that still haunt the castle and have been seen, heard and felt by workers at the Fort.
Sample some light refreshments similar to those eaten during the 18th and 19th century during your tour.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the Red Coach Inn and venture off to the Village of Lewiston and take a stroll down Center Street.
Step back in time as you are met by characters from Lewiston's colorful past where you'll take a walk on the dark side to explore the grim and ghastly deeds of Lewiston's best and worst on the Marble Orchards Tour.
Do you know the difference between a wine and a spirit? At The Winery at Marjim Manor, wine is what you taste and spirits are who you meet! Voted "Most Haunted Winery in the Country" by TLC, featured on the Travel Channel's "Most Terrifying Places in America" and Ghost Hunter's special "Bottled Spirits," at Marjim Manor you'll taste wines with names honoring the Manor's rich history and dine on a delightful lunch while hearing the legends of its residents, past and present.
You are sure to have tales to tell for years to come after taking this spirited tour!
