Food, festivals and fun are cooking up on this summer as Freddie & Cal's Caf opens Memorial Day weekend. Serving up made-to-order tacos and beverages from food carts on Old Falls Street's Middle Block, directly across from the entrance of Niagara Falls State Park. Freddie & Cal's is open daily through Labor Day, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Create your own chicken, pork or fish tacos or try one of our specialties, guaranteed to please any appetite. Don't forget to add our house made chips and salsa, avocado cream and warm queso.
Beat the heat and quench your thirst with freshly-squeezed lemonade and soft drinks including bottles of Johnnie Ryan cane sugar soda, a Niagara Falls favorite since 1935.
"What's with the name?" Old Falls Street tips its chef's hat to Frederick Law Olmsted, legendary landscape designer of Niagara Falls State Park, and his collaborator, Calvert Vaux. This playful homage to two of our area's most historical figures allows guests to enjoy dining al fresco.
We know you'll be tempted to try our tasty tacos, but even if you brought your own lunch--we've saved you a seat in our colorful fleet of Adirondack chairs and bistro tables. After your meal, be sure to play a few of Old Falls Street's free Backyard Board Games, offering large scale versions of popular family games like chess, checkers and "Jenga" or challenge your friends to a few rounds of foosball or table tennis.
