Niagara USA through the eyes of a travel writer

When one is fortunate enough to work in an iconic and naturally beautiful destination as Niagara USA, we focus on how to market our destination to all different types of potential visitors, engaging and encouraging them to visit.

One of the ways we do that is to host travel writers and let them visit all the sights, taste the culinary delights and listen to the roar of the mighty Niagara Falls . . . truly "Up Close & Powerful!"

From their visits, they write about their experiences highlighting what to see and do in Niagara USA.

I had the opportunity last week to join the  for lunch and dinner, and learned through their eyes how truly remarkable Niagara USA is. From experiencing the  decks being built just a few feet from Bridal Veil Falls, to the torrents of Niagara Falls which in their words is a "spectacular natural wonder!" They rocked the decks of the Maid of the Mist, and were transported close to the falls so they could hear the crashing waves and soak up every drip of powerful spray.

Old Fort Niagara provided a historic perspective of the 18th century and Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises gave them a whole new perspective of being on the river and going through the only double set of locks on the . For lunch the The Red Coach Inn, built in 1923 and modeled after the Bell Inn in Finedon, England, employees welcomed them with the same warm English Country ambience the dinning room reflects. The tour came to a close with a dinner at Remington Tavern and Seafood Exchange in North Tonawanda, where they provided them with an incredible array of seafood that gives dining on the Erie Canal a whole new meaning! All of this while writers were saying words like, "exhilarating, incredible, powerful, awesome and rewarding!"

That is why we love to come to work every day and tell people why they should visit Niagara USA!
