The MTWA is a leading organization for travel journalists and promoters. They are holding their bi-annual meeting in the Finger Lakes, hosted by Finger Lakes Visitors Connection - the tourism agency for Ontario County. Ten of the conference attendees are stopping in Niagara Falls prior to the event.
The group will participate in an agenda that showcases the region. During their stay, attendees will have the opportunity to tour Niagara Falls State Park, ride the Maid of the Mist, and experience Old Fort Niagara in the evening with a dessert bar provided by Cream & Sugar Café. They will also learn about history at Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises, view the Tiffany Windows at the First Presbyterian Church, and sample wine from the Flight of Five Winery; and dine at culinary favorites Hard Rock Café Niagara Falls USA, The Red Coach Inn, and Remington Tavern & Seafood Exchange. Accommodations are provided by The Giacomo Hotel, a boutique hotel in downtown Niagara Falls, N.Y.
During their stay the group and NTCC will be using the social media hashtag #tasteniagara to track and publicize what they find appealing, interesting and useful to their respective audiences.
