In order to get married in Niagara Falls USA or New York State, couples must apply for a marriage license in person with any town or city clerk in the state. The license application must be signed by both parties in the presence of that clerk. In Niagara Falls, licenses are issued Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., at the Niagara Falls City Clerk's Office at 745 Main Street, Niagara Falls, NY. Although the marriage license is issued immediately, the ceremony may not take place within 24 hours from the exact time that the license was issued. The cost is $40 and includes the issuance of a Certificate of Marriage Registration.
