TV Host Misty Wells Explores the Wonders of Niagara Falls USA for her show Let’s Take it Outside
Niagara Falls, NY — Renowned television personality and outdoor enthusiast, Misty Wells, embarked on an exhilarating adventure to Niagara Falls, USA in October, capturing the essence of the region's natural beauty and outdoor escapades for an upcoming episode of her Discovery Channel show, Let's Take it Outside. The episode, set to air early in 2024, promises an immersive journey through thrilling fishing expeditions and the diverse attractions available within Niagara County.
Wells' visit to Niagara Falls USA was arranged by Destination Niagara USA, and included an itinerary packed with outdoor adventures to highlight the natural beauty of Niagara Falls, as well as various activities in other parts of Niagara County. Her itinerary was thoughtfully crafted to showcase not only the adrenaline pumping fishing experiences but also the rich cultural heritage and iconic landmarks that make this destination an unparalleled gem.
Embracing the spirit of outdoor adventure, Misty Wells delved into the heart of fishing escapades, navigating the picturesque waters of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario with Frank Campbell, Outdoor Promotions Director for Destination Niagara USA. “Misty was impressed with the size and variety of fish available in the waters of the Niagara River,” said Campbell. “She was even able to catch her first walleye, which was then prepared by the chef at Casa Antica in Lewiston.”
In addition to her dining experience at Casa Antica, Wells had the opportunity to enjoy Savor Restaurant. The restaurant, a student-run operation within the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (NFCI), features a prix fixe menu prepared in an open kitchen by the students studying culinary arts at the college. “Misty enjoyed her meal so much that she came back for dinner a second time during her stay,” remarked Dan DiPirro, Instructor and Coordinator of the Hospitality Program at NFCI.
Outside of fishing and dining in Niagara Falls USA, Wells took the opportunity to explore historical landmarks, including a visit to the historic Old Fort Niagara, where she immersed herself in the rich tapestry of the area's past on a guided tour with Executive Director Robert Emerson. Additionally, she experienced the beauty of the autumn season with a visit to Sanger Farms in Youngstown, experiencing her first hayride and apple picking experience with owner Michael Tuck. Of course, no visit to Niagara Falls USA is complete without seeing the awe-inspiring views from the deck of the iconic Maid of the Mist boat tour and the Cave of the Winds, which Misty was able to enjoy on unseasonably warm fall days.
The forthcoming episode of Let's Take it Outside promises viewers an unforgettable odyssey through the vibrant diverse offerings of Niagara Falls USA.
