The Beauty of Niagara Falls USA is so much more than just the Falls

DAY 1

Begin your tour at the Castellani Art Museum - Currently numbering over 5600 works of art, the collection includes prints, photographs, paintings, drawings, and sculpture dating largely from the 1850's to the present. The collection illustrates the development of modern art, but focuses primarily on art from the 1970's to the present.

Venture north to Our Lady of Fatima Shrine -The magnificence and natural beauty of the Shrine is highlighted by an awe-inspiring Glass Dome Basilica with a contour of the Northern Hemisphere of the globe. The impressive approach to the Basilica is down the Avenue of the Saints (over one hundred life-size marble statues represent Saints from every race and walk of life) and around the serenity of the Rosary Pool.

Stop by the Native American Museum of Art featuring a collection of Native Art and Joseph Jacobs sculptures. While there check out the incredible shopping next door!

Have dinner overlooking the beauty of the Niagara Gorge at Water Street Landing.

In the evening stroll through Niagara Falls State Park, ride the Maid of the Mist, and gaze at the beauty of the Falls from the Observation Deck.

Stay a while to enjoy the Falls illuminated in rainbow of changing colors. 

DAY 2

Your adventure continues in nearby Lockport, a friendly community with rich, historic roots that blends the old with the new to preserve the past as well as move ahead with the changing times.

"Lock" into history at the Erie Canal Discovery Center where you can see the 20 foot Raphael Beck mural and enjoy the Charles Rand Penney Art Gallery.

 

Just across the street is the First Presbyterian Church, built in 1855. There you will take the Tiffany Window Tour. Marvel at the workmanship of Tiffany.

Time for lunch at your choice of great restaurants located nearby.

Stretch your legs as you stroll through Lockport on an Architecture Tour of the area seeing the craftsmanship of a bygone era.

Before your leave Lockport, visit the Market Street Art Center to see its two galleries and 25 working artist studios. You will delight at the unique artwork including paintings, photography, sculptures and jewelry making, all under one roof.  You may even have an opportunity to meet and talk to the artists yourself!
