Overview
Old Fort Niagara takes on a festive glow during the holiday season! Explore the Great Lakes’ oldest building illuminated by candlelight and meet 18th-century reenactors demonstrating quill writing, fur trading, and traditional games. Twice each evening, witness a dramatic feu de joie—a rolling musket and cannon salute. Enjoy holiday cooking demonstrations, period music, and a reading of the Christmas story in Latin inside the 299-year-old chapel. Create ornaments and bird feeders, and experience Native American songs and stories. Warm up in the log cabin with hot refreshments for purchase, including bread pudding, soup, cocoa, coffee, and tea.
