In the fall of 2009, fictional characters Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly of NBC’s The Office tied the knot in Niagara Falls with a two-part wedding episode. While their initial plan was to get married in a church, they made a last-minute decision to sneak away, board the Maid of the Mist and ask the captain to marry them. 1. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at Craft Coffee House

This adorable coffee house in Lockport serves breakfast all day along with an expansive list of seasonal coffees, teas, smoothies and cocktails. Breakfast dishes include blueberry pancakes, strawberry shortcake waffles, breakfast tacos and for our Office fans, The Todd Packer — a toasted everything bagel with homemade hash browns, crispy bacon, fried egg and cream cheese.

2. Hop on the Maid of the Mist

This Niagara Falls attraction was the site of Jim and Pam’s iconic boat ceremony and is a must-do activity for any Office fan! Head down to the dock and board the Maid of the Mist for a romantic and adventurous tour of the Falls just like our favorite couple from Scranton. Get soaked or stay back and admire the views as the captain masterfully guides you around the Niagara Gorge to experience the roar and wonder of the Falls.

3. Admire art around town

Pam may have failed art school, but that wouldn’t stop her from admiring the stunning art found at every turn around Niagara County. Enjoy the weather and a leisurely hand-holding stroll with outdoor art experiences at Art Alley NF or Artpark in Lewiston. For a more traditional art museum experience, the Castellani Art Museum and the Carnegie Art Center in North Tonawanda are home to beautiful collections and touring exhibitions.

4. Take a drive to find antiques and great wine

During their “Fun Run” in Scranton, Jim and Pam stepped into an estate sale and found a quirky lamp that was later held up by Michael Scott as a trophy. Channel your own inner treasure hunter and check out the amazing antique stores around Niagara County. After a few hours of shopping, take a break at one of the dazzling wineries of the region. Enjoy a walk through the fields while sipping flavorful regional wines — although it probably won’t be beet wine like Jim and Pam tried at Schrute Farms.

5. Savor a romantic dinner at Red Coach Inn

Another must-see for Office fans, the Red Coach Inn was the filming location for several scenes in the “Niagara” wedding episode. This quaint, charming inn has the cozy feeling of a lodge with the bonus of an award-winning restaurant. Enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail at the wine bar, take in views of the Niagara Rapids from the enclosed porch or gaze into each other’s eyes over a fireside dinner.

6. Catch the fireworks and illumination show

Cap off a romantic Office-themed day with a fireworks and illumination display over the Falls. Every evening beginning at dusk, Niagara Falls is illuminated with an array of beautiful colors. Check out the Illumination calendar to see a schedule of special colors recognizing charitable causes and national holidays, and to see when you might be able to catch the seasonal fireworks show. Andy may have ruined Jim’s fireworks at Toby’s farewell party, but that won’t be the case in Niagara Falls.
