NATIONAL TRAILS DAY
First Saturday in June. What better way to explore the Niagara Falls than on National Trails Day? Participate in a free, guided hike along the beautiful Niagara Gorge, and hike rim and gorge trails from the mouth of the gorge at Artpark to the American Falls! There are plenty of great trails to explore all season long.
FAIRY HOUSE FESTIVAL
2024 Dates TBD. Enjoy a whimsical afternoon at this immersive performing arts festival at Artpark, the Fairy House Festival. Enjoy European street theater groups, modern dance, interactive performances by local actors, and music presented in the setting of the park overlooking the stunning Niagara Gorge. Wander amongst fairy house creations and roaming musicians in colorful costume creations. Tickets available online only.
CIVIL WAR GARRISON
2024 Dates TBD. Step back in time and experience life at Old Fort Niagara between 1861 to 1865 at this living history event. The weekend includes various activities and socially-distanced demostrations including 19th century engineering, cooking, medicine, common soldier life, and more.
June 15-16, 2024. Every summer in Niagara County, the neighborhoods of leafy Lewiston bloom into an open-air garden festival. Center Street will be the hub of the events, with everything from nursery booths to gardening master demos. Even if you don’t arrive in Niagara with a green thumb, you’ll leave with one.
FREE FISHING DAYS
June 29-30, 2024. Gone fishing? On this June weekend, the rich fresh waters of New York state are open to fishing for everyone— no fishing license required. For Niagara County, that means dibs on a whole wealth of waterways from the lower Niagara to Lake Ontario and the Erie Canal. Expect trout, bass and even chinook salmon to be biting.
LOCKPORT ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL
June 29-30. The Lockport Arts & Crafts Festival features over 100 artists, crafts and food vendors along Main Street in Lockport, NY for one weekend every summer.
